Admont is the oldest settlement in Styria, first mentioned in 859. Its world-famous Benedictine abbey was founded in 1074 and houses the largest monastic library.

Admont is surrounded by snow-capped mountain peaks, mountain sides shining in the color of the green lake, beautiful panorama, crystal clear air, endless calm and healing energy.
In the summer, the mountains surrounding the city with their massive rocks and blooming alpine pastures invite hikers to hike and climb.
The two rivers of the neighbouring Gesäuse National Park, the Enns and the Salza, await lovers of wild waters.
Where mountain hikers and climbers meet in summer, winter lovers trade their boots for skis. Pleasant and friendly ski resorts await winter sports fans on the gentle slopes of Kaiserau. The Kaiserau Ski Area is 3 km and the Wurzeralm Ski Area is 25 km from the hotel.

Hotel die Traube is located in the centre of the city, just 50 meters from Admont Abbey. The building dates from 1537 and has been operating as a restaurant since 1865, it was the first hotel on the main square of the town.

Most of the hotel's rooms have mountain views. The rooms have wooden furniture, a flat-screen satellite TV and a bathroom. Free parking, a garage for motorbikes and bicycles, as well as ski storage and free Wi-Fi are also available.

Our hotel's restaurant offers local specialties, and its banquet rooms and terrace are an excellent venue for holding events for 20-150 people.
